And as I was skimming through our photos, I forgot to show our last picture of that night.
This was us heading back to our room after the club...

Anyways, back to Day Two.
After waking up and getting dressed, we proceed to find a place for brunch. Rika directs us to a place she knows of called PRONTO. ( she's a bit of a foodie..)
They basically served pasta type dishes at the one we went to in Tokyo, but she says they usually serve more at the one in Osaka. ( On a side note: Andy and Rika inform us that Osaka is commonly referred to as the kitchen of Japan. )
The heat and humidity make it almost imperative that we eat as often as possible (mainly for the air conditioners at restaurants...)
Japan Guides

Jeremy buggin out

Lloyd in reflective thought

Now, I can't stress enough how ridiculously funny this photo is. So much to say, and yet, I can't say anything.....

Its so good in fact, that me and lloyd had to re-inact it.

But as with most sequels, its definitely not as good as the original.

As for foods....
I ordered the Bacon Carbonara with a poached egg on top

This thing was ridiculously RICH.
Just looking at it again make my mouth water.
And its almost making me food coma too....

So we finish our meals and while Andy and Rika try to contact their friend Nami who is a Tokyo local, we chill outside PRONTO to digest and take in the scenery,

SUPS.

SUPS.

........ um. anyways.
so we meet up with Rika's friend Nami at some clothing store where they had an arcade style Galaga game.
Jeremy decides to play.

After he loses horribly, we head over to Starbucks for an icy afternoon delight.

My go to drink here was their Frozen Mango Smoothie. Hands down, the best drink on their menu. The only shame here is that their sizes are a bit off.
Everything is about one size down. Meaning..... Their Venti is like our Grande, and Their Grande is like our Tall... and so forth.

Next stop is a bit of shopping in the Harajuku District. Shops ranging from the popular Uniqlo & Beams, to others like, Standard Journal, Hysteric Glamour, F.I.L. , BBC, Head Porter, Graniph and Neighborhood to name a few. (more like a fraction of what was there)
Jeremy and Lloyd try escaping the heat inside the Dior store....

....but get denied.
Oh and this was a unexpected treat to see in real life...
Godzilla:

looks and sounds like a wet dream.

So, yea, we're still walking... and taking in the sights and sounds of Harajuku.....

SUP.

SUP.
Then we end up at some shoe store.

Then after losing my mind in that store, we head to do some more touristy things...
More walking thru Harajuku
SUPS.

Double SUPS.

Walking through this mad house of crazy ass japanese people, peppered with weird ass black doods...

We end up at the entrance to Meiji Castle ( at least thats what I think it was called...)

While there, we wondered why they would need such large gates such as these...
US: "Hey Andy, what did they use these gates for and why are they so big?"
Andy: "They mainly used it to ward off evil spirits..."
US: "Oh.......cool....."
[ walks over to Nami, the local ]
US: "Hey Nami, what did they use these gates for and why are they so big?"
Nami: "They are just decoration..."
[ looks over at Andy ]
[ shakes head ]
After that, we decide to follow Rika instead.

The heat makes us take a little break on the side of the path way..

Blurry SUPS.

Rika asks me if I want some french fries...

tasted like In-N-Out Fries if you ordered them well done.
Anyways, we make it to the temple and they tell us we have to wash ourselves before we enter.

......

I really don't know. You're gonna have to ask Jeremy about this one.
so after we left the temple we saw this

..........
....
Then this guy rockin out to "Stand By Me"

I wish I had the video clip to this. Its all kinds of awesome.
Next stop is Akihabara. This place could be considered the tech-iest place in Japan. Somewhat like a swapmeet for electronics. Saw them selling DSLR's and Huge Lenses on the side of an alleyway.
But thats not why we came here.

Apparently Akiba is they only place in Japan that has this.
Its called "Dragon Ice" and it came from China. Andy's description of it is that its like, "Flavored air...."
And to be honest, its pretty spot on.

This one has strawberry toppings.
My guess is that, instead of a regular block of ice that they shave down, they froze a block of evaporated milk and shaved that down instead.
Whatever the process, its insanely good. It would be the next Pinkberry if they brought it here.
Oh and they have penguins too.

AND Here's Andy after giving me a BLOW-J.
with his mouth.

Then Lloyd tells Nami that he wants to see Cosplay chicks.
and shes like, Okay.
after some back alleyways and streets, we end up here.

She informs us that before the stabbings that occured there not too long ago, there used to be a ton more of cosplay girls out there. Some selling products, or promoting shops, and some just selling photos. Some would charge like 500 yen (about 5 bucks) and they would do thinks like slutty poses or high kicks. ( they also forget to wear underwear apparently...)

After Akihabara, we head back to Shibuya station to get our things.
Along the way we find refuge from the heat in this Food Store

SUPS.

hmmmm. um.
so i'm trying to figure out what happened to the rest of our day here. My pictures ended at the temple, and Lloyd's ended here Akihabara.
I'm guess we headed back to Osaka that night on the Bullet train or SHINKANSEN!
Actually the more I think about it, yea, thats probably what happened.
Oh yea......I got a bento and ate it on the shinkansen. it was pretty oishii.
We had a pretty rigorous day and Rika had work the next day, so we ended it there.
Tomorrow?
Day Three.
Biking. Sky Tower. Curry.
