The Fruits of Labor..

Getting sidetracked off the Japan Recap, I recently have been dabbling in a few side projects.

With the help of Mini Chai, I got to crackin on a project that's been LONG overdue.

Photobucket

Been messing around with it for the past week now.
Kinda happy with the outcome so far.

But I'm still in the trial and error mode. Everything's been a real "push/pull" type process. It definitely brings back nostalgia of the days in the dark room, developing film & exposing photos.

But I still have to nail down a couple of issues.
-exposure time
-proper emulsion coating
-squeegee pressure

Overall, one thing's for sure....I definitely have a deeper respect for Screen Printers.

Also, I've been struggling with colors this past week.

Photobucket

Took me long enough to settle on a color for my room.
From "Summer Green" to "Royal Purple" to "Tangerine Yellow", the choice of color has flip-flopped more times than I care to admit. I'm pretty fickle with color.

But I feel that I have narrowed it down to a color that I can live with.

Black.

But which black?

Salem Black?
Blue Steel?
Boat Anchor?
Bank Vault?
Soot?
Black Lead?

While sifting through these swatches, I almost regret not going into the color naming business...

I mean, really?

"Boat Anchor"?

Oh and I was having dinner the other night and saw a commercial for this:

Caught me off guard. Kinda cool to see my logo on TV now.

Not that it's gonna win awards or anything, but still cool nonetheless.
